oh my god yes they were i had this really cool pen with a maze in it and i had met dan the day before so i gave phil the pen and he went “ooh, this is cool! what, so do I have to complete the maze before I can sign or something?” and dan went “I said the EXACT SAME THING when I met her yesterday!” and inside I was having extreme feels but then I said “well you can have that pen if you want” and he protested a little but then he ended up keeping it so now phil owns a pen that I gave him. i doubt he still has it but oh well.

Okay, so I really, really love The Fault in Our Stars, as you can tell by my URL. All this year, I had to walk to school which is a half-hour walk and incredibly boring (Vegas really isn’t as interesting as everyone thinks it is). Every morning I would download Good Mythical Morning onto my iPod and listen as I walk (at least for a good 10 minutes). One morning I was late, so I couldn’t download it. Instead, I thought it would be a good idea to walk and read TFIOS at the same time.

The sidewalks are very uneven in Vegas, but since I had my nose in a book, I forgot to watch for them.

My toe caught the edge, I falldowngoboom, get knocked out for an indeterminable amount of time, wake up on my own, get up, walk the last 15 minutes to school (staggering all the way), get there, the nurse and the FASA freak out, and I get sent home with a concussion. I have a scar about the size of a pencil eraser on my forehead where I came down on a rock.

So I guess you could say The Fault In Our Stars caused me more than just emotional pain.
